Girly Push Ups

Okay, so, I have terrible arms. Always have. I love the bench so so much, but then I always get these looks from the guys in my gym after i’m done with the bench and I go on to do ‘girl push ups’. You know what I mean. On my knees, with the crossed, not doing them from head to foot. Its the repition that matters, right? Not the way you do it? Sigh. These guys at my high school gym man. Thinkin’ i’m a wimpy girl. Hmph.

recipe: vegan healthy chocolate-oat-pancakes 

for one serving you’ll need:

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats, processed into a flour
  • 1-2 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
  • 2 tsp. agave nectar (or other sweetener to your liking)
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tbsp. natural peanut butter
  • 1/2 tbsp. ground flaxseed
  • about 1/3 cup water or non-dairy milk 
  • a pinch of salt

Mix everything but the liquid and then slowly add as much liquid as you need to form a smooth batter. Bake pancakes in a nonstick-pan. I layered them with sliced bananas, some peanut-butter on top would have been great, too!
